| Description | Sensing that the latest round of corruption allegations has paved the way for a reform candidate, some have asked Fitzgerald to come back to Illinois and run for his former seat.
“I’ve certainly had a lot of people call me and reach out to me and ask me, ‘Why don’t you come back and go grab this seat?’” he says.
To them, he smiles, chuckles a bit and says, thanks but no thanks. He’ll continue, instead, to build up the bank he started two years in McLean, three miles from the new house he recently built for his family.
“I’m all set,” he says. “And I’m actually a Virginia resident, too. |
