DescriptionOn Nov. 17, campaign representatives filed over 6,000 petition signatures to qualify Lyndon LaRouche for the Democratic Presidential primary ballot in Tennessee. With the filing of over 2,685 signatures in Vermont Nov. 14, this puts the LaRouche in 2004 campaign right on target to secure the first 20 states in LaRouche's ballot drive by mid-January.

The ballot drive is also moving ahead in Indiana, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Oregon and other states. The petitions submitted in Tennessee and Vermont were both filed weeks in advance of state deadlines, with more than twice the number of signatures required in each case. LaRouche was the first to file in Vermont, the home state of former Gov. Howard Dean--now the “leading'' dwarf among the Democratic Presidential candidates.

LaRouche is now certified for the ballot in California, Missouri, New Hampshire, and Washington, D.C. and will soon be certified in Vermont and Tennessee. Campaign activists will file in at least one other state before the Thankgiving holiday, and in two more immediately thereafter. By Jan. 1, LaRouche will have filed in a dozen states, and in over 20 states by mid-January--just as the election season opens with the first primary in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 13.
