Description | U.S. Sen. David Vitter says he's secured positions on banking and armed services committees for the new session of Congress.
The Republican from Metairie says he wanted a seat on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs committee to be a voice for Louisiana taxpayers during the nation's current economic woes. He said he also wants to give service men and women a voice in the legislative process through his position on the armed services committee.
Vitter says he's also retained positions on commerce, environment and public works and small business committees. |
