| Description | "Matthew Ahearn, a freshman Assemblyman from Bergen County, has left the Democratic Party to join the Green Party, several Democratic sources and the Green Party state chairman confirmed today. Ahearn has been feuding with Bergen County Democratic Chairman Joseph Ferriero, who has reportedly been making plans to dump the first-term legislator from the organization line this year. In turn, Ahearn had threatened to switch to the Green Party and run for State Senator against incumbent Joseph Coniglio."
