| Description | Sacramento Assemblyman Dave Jones said today that he will run for state insurance commissioner in 2010.
Jones, a Democrat, was elected last week to his final two-year Assembly term. He said he hopes to fill the statewide insurance commissioner post likely being vacated by prospective GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner.
Jones confirmed his intentions in a phone interview this morning and said he would release a formal statement later today. |
