Description | The other day a Vietnam vet and former high school janitor said to me, "Why are we spending all this money to fight fires instead of trying to prevent them?"
That's a good question. Another is, "How did our forested counties get into this situation in the first place?" After seeing the Record Searchlight article Thursday quoting three of Northern California's elected officials ("Lawmakers develop letter to governor on flame prevention"), I think I know: Lack of vision and lack of accountability at the highest levels. |
