Description | The Georgia Senate race may not offer the star power of the Senate race next door in North Carolina, but it has every bit the drama. Chambliss has based his campaign on charges that Cleland is too liberal for Georgia and has questioned the disabled Vietnam veteran's commitment to national security. Cleland, meanwhile, has aggressively touted his bipartisanship in Congress and defended his record on national security by noting that Chambliss did not serve in Vietnam. |
