Description | What his lead means and killing off myths about the 2004 election
There seems to be a large number of people who, for whatever reason, think John Kerry was ahead of George W. Bush in all the polls in 2004 before losing the election. That is actually false and I assume that this myth started from EXIT POLLS on election day showing Kerry ahead.
In reality, Bush led Kerry throughout 2004. Yesterday's NBC/WSJ poll showed Obama ahead of McCain by 6%. Bush led in every NBC/WSJ poll over Kerry in 2004, but never by that much. He eventually won the total vote, 51% to 48%. |
