Description | In the continental United States we also have MST and MDT (Mountain Time), PST and PDT (Pacific Time).
In Lafayette, all year long we're on HCT (Hoosier Confused Time).
Basically, this is what happens.
When most of the country goes off Daylight Saving Time, we stay the same. As a result, in the summer we're on the same time as Chicago. In the winter we're on the same time as New York. But in the summer when we're on the same time as Chicago which is west of us, we're also an hour behind Michigan which is due north, and Louisville which is straight south. |
