DescriptionThe Socialism and Liberation Party has been authorized to include its presidential and vice presidential candidates on the November general election ballot, according to the office of Secretary of State Charlie Daniels.

An announcement from the office Tuesday said officials had verified 1,297 signatures on a petition submitted by the group, exceeding the 1,000 valid signatures required by law.

In addition to the Democratic and Republican parties and the group certified Tuesday, the Green Party, the Libertarian Party of Arkansas and the Constitution Party of Arkansas have also qualified to appear on the general election ballot.
