Description With his back to the wall, Republican Rep. Vito Fossella may decide to stand and fight.
Responding to a reporter's question yesterday, former GOP Borough President Guy Molinari said he spoke with the embattled congressman on Friday and said that it's not out of the question that Fossella will run for another two-year term in Congress despite the sex scandal that has rocked the congressman's career.

Earlier in the day, Molinari told the Advance that Fossella "has every intention of running," but Molinari later withdrew that statement.
"I wouldn't be surprised if the ultimate decision is to run again," Molinari, a political and personal mentor of Fossella's, said last night.
"At no point did the congressman say that he is running" during the conversation, Molinari said last night.
Fossella did not return a call for comment last night, and it's very possible that the posturing could merely be a trial balloon to gauge whether Fossella could realistically continue in office.
A Fossella spokeswoman did issue the following statement on his behalf at 12:15 Sunday morning: "Congressman Fossella appreciates the support of so many people, including Guy Molinari, but he has not made any decision yet. And he continues to spend time with his family."
