| Description | The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, climbed four and a half points on Monday to 80.8. That’s up eight points from a week ago, up four points from a month ago, and the first time the Index has topped 80.0 in over a month. However, prior to March 11, the Index had never before fallen below 80.0 in its seven-year history and today’s mark is still down eighteen points from the beginning of the year.
