Description | Take a look around the Mercer County Democratic Party's warehouse-like campaign headquarters on Route 33 in Hamilton Township and, between the signs displaying, in various combinations, the names of seemingly every Democratic candidate in the county, you'll see cubicles set up subdividing the room by campaign.
It's a Monday afternoon, and there's about a dozen people scattered around hard at work, giving the place an empty, almost lonely feeling. But it's a different scene on weekends, when volunteers don't have to be their weekday jobs, according to someone who benefits from the work done by the party's troops.
"You should see this place on a Saturday," said Brian Hughes, the Democratic candidate for County Executive, as a he sat at folding table near the entrance.
