Description The Federal Election Commission has fined 1st District Rep. Rob Bishop's campaign $7,600 for filing his 2002 post-election report 28 days late.
George Smaragdis, public affairs specialist for the FEC, said that the amount of money involved, $393,652 , contributed to the severity of the fine.
The freshman Republican congressman's campaign committee already was $158,552 in debt.
