Description | Utah Congressman Rob Bishop's recent push to bring more radioactive waste to Utah is not the first time the Republican freshman has come to the aid of a personal benefactor.
As reported in Friday's Salt Lake Tribune, Bishop was a paid lobbyist for Envirocare before he was elected to Congress. He sent a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman recently, urging a change in wording that would clear the way for banned waste to be stored in Utah and, therefore, help Envirocare land a lucrative contract. |
