Description | ABC News has learned that the governor of Puerto Rico, AnÃbal Salvador Acevedo Vilá, will endorse Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, later today.
Puerto Rico has 55 pledged delegates and eight super-delegates (Acevedo is one of them).
Its contest will take place in a state convention on June 7 -- the very last contest of the Democratic primary calendar.
This comes minutes after the news that former President Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign manager David Wilhelm will also back Obama, as first reported by the AP. |
