Description | On the same day she was defeated in the Maine caucuses, and two days after she lost three primary contests, Sen. Hillary Clinton replaced her campaign manager. Maggie Williams was named the new campaign manager, replacing Patti Solis Doyle, who will remain a senior adviser with the campaign, said Mo Elleithee, a campaign spokesman.
"I am lucky to have Maggie on board and I know she will lead our campaign with great skill toward the nomination," Clinton said in a statement.
Clinton had hoped a strong showing on Super Tuesday would be a knockout blow to Obama's campaign. But Obama scored blowouts in Washington state, Louisiana and Nebraska on Saturday.
