Description | Two days before Super Tuesday, amid throngs of adoring evangelical Christians, Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee said he doesn't have any military experience -- but he has been a soldier.
"Giving your life to Jesus means you've just enlisted," he said "To follow him is the real deal. It is a battle."
Shaking hands and kissing babies throughout the South in the final days before voters go to the polls, the former Arkansas governor made a stop Sunday at Bellevue Baptist Church.
In a dark suit and lime green tie, the Baptist preacher turned politician gave an evening sermon at the Cordova mega-church.
"Soldiers for Christ. Expect some rough, rough, rough moments," said Huckabee, who was ordained as a minister at 18 in his hometown of Hope, Ark. |
