"Marine Corps Reserve Col. Tom Manion -- whose son was killed in Iraq last year -- will announce his candidacy for Congress Tuesday against U.S. Rep. Pat Murphy, the only Iraq War veteran on Capitol Hill. Republican Manion is planning a 2 p.m. news conference.
Manion's candidacy is backed by former U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick for the Bucks County based seat. Fitzpatrick said Monday he will not seek the seat he lost to Democrat Murphy." |
