Description | Attorney General Richard Ieyoub endorsed Lt. Gov. Kathleen Blanco on Tuesday, the competitor Ieyoub criticized the most during the primary race for governor.
Blanco's experience as an elected official make her more qualified to be governor than former health official Bobby Jindal, a "young man" who has never held elected office and left behind problems in the jobs he held, Blanco and Ieyoub said at news conference in New Orleans.
Later Tuesday, the state's largest labor organization -- which backed Ieyoub in the primary race -- also endorsed Blanco, a Democrat, over Jindal, a Republican.
