Description | When Sam Katz finished addressing the leaders of Philadelphia's Republican Party yesterday, they rose from the conference table and applauded.
The Rematch was on.
Katz declared that he wants to run for mayor next year as the GOP nominee, seeking to unseat Mayor Street, who beat him by less than 2 percent of the vote in 1999. And GOP leaders are backing him.
