| Description | The past month (10/2007) was the opposite of the previous month (9/2007), as the number of races entered rose and the number of news items posted fell. This report will also include information on posting of sub-races and political parties.
As usual, the numbers were collected before the month actually ended. I collected stats at 6:00 P.M., OC time. Any changes after that time will be added to the stats for next month. Randy's full, official table may be accessed here .

Thirty-five users posted 411 news items, for an average of 11.7 each. This was a drop from the 540 of last month and from the 920 of the same month last year. The monthly average for the past year is now 555, a drop from 598 at the end of last month.

Thirty-one users posted 2,810 races, for an average of 91 each. This nearly doubled the 1,439 races entered by 24 users last month and was an increase from the 2,632 new races of the same month last year. The average for the past 12 months is 2,499. Overall, 23 users posted more races in the past month than they did in the same month a year ago.
We extend congratulations to several users. Three users posted their first races in the past month - Matty, Katamari, and MA-Republican. SC Moose posted his first race in three months. Welcome back! Eddy 9_99 passed the 22,000 mark. Scott Tester passed the 4,000 mark to make it to the top 10 in terms of overall posting of new races. Great work, all!!
