Description | Fewer than half of Florida's resident homeowners are likely to go along with state lawmakers and trade their popular Save Our Homes tax cap for a new "super" homestead exemption, a new state study predicts.
Assuming the Jan. 29 amendment passes, the University of Florida study estimates that anywhere from 45 to 65 percent of homeowners will keep their current SOH tax lid – depending on how quickly their home values are likely to rise. |
