DescriptionTUNKHANNOCK — U.S. Rep. Chris Carney, D-Dimock Township, is scheduled to report for two weeks’ active duty in the Naval Reserve on Sept. 9.

Mr. Carney, a lieutenant commander in the Reserve, told members of the Tunkhannock Rotary Club on Thursday that he takes his duty very seriously.

Mr. Carney said he would be reporting to duty in the Norfolk area but could not be more specific than to say that he would be working with the “Predator” project and would have to miss some votes on the House floor.
