Description | Richard Grawey, the chief judge of the 10th Judicial Circuit, says he's seriously considering running for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Rep. Ray LaHood and expects to have a decision by next week.
If he does decide to join a field of three other Democrats who are considering the candidacy, he would have to immediately vacate his judicial post.
"As a judge, I think I have a good reputation in town for fairness and honesty. I think it's a wide open primary," said Grawey, 58. "It's definitely a winnable race for a Democrat. I think it's time for a change. I think people feel that. I think I'll have significant backing." |
