It didn’t take long for a battle of words between Republican U.S. Rep. Joe Knollenberg and Democratic challenger and state Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters to develop today.
The accusations started flying with Peters’ announcement that he would run for the 9th Congressional District seat next year.
In an e-mail, he said Knollenberg, a Bingham Farms Republican in his eighth term in Congress, has been nothing more than “a rubber stamp for the Bush administration’s failed policies in Iraq and failed policies on the economy.” |
