| Description | U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole loves Bojangles'.
So much so that the Salisbury Republican taped a message for the chicken-and-biscuit chain's recent annual franchise owners' meeting, congratulating it on its 30th anniversary.
The Charlotte company then used part of the video for a television ad.
The ad aired earlier this week in several markets, including Greensboro, but the company quickly pulled it and asked Dole's office for permission to use the footage of her.
Dole staffers said they think it was an honest mistake and have not made a decision on whether she'll approve the ad for airing again.
Spokeswoman Amy Auth said Dole still likes the chain's food, though.
"I don't know exactly what she orders, but she is a big fan," she said.
