DescriptionThe son of a Plain City councilman was sentenced this morning after sheriff's officers found more than a pound of marijuana at his home.

Mark E. Hostetler Jr.'s girlfriend told deputies she had been told the plants were tomato plants.

Hostetler Jr., 29, of 1100 Josiah-Morris Road in London, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony cultivation of marijuana on Friday, May 9. This morning he appeared for sentencing.

A presentence investigation revealed that Hostetler had a prior criminal history, including domestic violence and a pending charge fourth-degree felony possession of cocaine in Marysville, as well as a long list of traffic offenses.
