Description | FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Gov. Ernie Fletcher told legislators yesterday that he will call a July 5 special session to consider an energy bill that is "urgently needed" if Kentucky is to be a leader in developing alternative fuels and renewable energy.
Fletcher, a Republican, informed lawmakers by letter of his plan to call the session. He said an energy incentives bill will be the session's "primary focus."
Asked what other issues might be added to the agenda, Press Secretary Jodi Whitaker said, "We're not discussing anything but energy at this time." |
