Description | June 19 (Bloomberg) -- White House Budget Director Rob Portman is resigning and President George W. Bush intends to name former Iowa Representative Jim Nussle as his replacement.
Bush will announce the changes later this afternoon, said Office of Management and Budget spokesman Sean Kevelighan.
``After 14 years of public service and commuting back and forth to Washington, D.C., he is going to spend some time with his family,'' Kevelighan said. Portman ``is not ruling out the possibility of running for office in the future.'' |
