Description | "...The symphonic hum of 50 men and a 16th century hymn drifts out from an upstairs window and starts to rain down on the street.
...
The men rehearsing the 16th century hymn - one of many songs they'll perform at a Christmas concert in December - are members of the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus.
While the chorus itself is apolitical and doesn't take political stands, some of its members stayed after last week's rehearsal to talk about the city, its future, and the qualities they look for in a mayor.
All of the crooners in the discussion described themselves as die-hard Democrats (except the one who averred that he's a fiscal conservative). Asked who they're likely to support in November's election, however, only two said they would likely support Mayor Street, a Democrat."
