| Description | "MAYOR STREET'S campaign fund has accepted more than $130,000 in illegal corporate campaign contributions, according to criteria explained by state election officials and a review of the campaign's finance reports.
The Street campaign disputes the interpretation, insisting the contributions are legal.
Corporate contributions are barred by Pennsylvania law, but candidates may accept donations from partnerships, such as law firms.
But nine significant contributions to Street this year come from partnerships whose members include corporate entities, and state election officials say that makes them illegal."
