Description | Arizona State Representative Trish Groe has agreed to a plea deal in which she will be charged with misdemeanor DUI and avoid having to resign from office.
Groe was arrested for felony DUI and driving on a suspended license in late March outside of Phoenix, Arizona. She has agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge, spend one day in jail, and pay more than $1,500 in fines.
The charge of driving on a suspended license will be dropped, as will the felony DUI charge. A felony DUI charge would have forced her to resign from her office. Groe's license was suspended for not paying a parking ticket. |
