Description | A New Democrat MLA told police that the NDP caucus wanted to conceal fraud allegations involving caucus money, the Saskatchewan legislature heard Tuesday.
According to a 1994 Regina police incident report tabled in the legislature by Saskatchewan Party MLA Ken Krawetz, former Saskatoon Wildwood MLA Pat Lorje went to police back then to talk about the Ann Lord case.
Lorje, now a Saskatoon city councillor, said in 1994 she wanted an investigation "to ensure that taxpayers' dollars were properly spent and accounted for," the incident report by Staff Sgt. Joe Fraser said.
The report also said that on Sept. 20, 1994, "Lorje advised that it was the intention of caucus to conceal the fact that Lord had committed the fraud." |
