Description | HERSHEY, Pa. -- (Pennsylvania) Gov. Ed Rendell reacted on Wednesday to the news that hundreds of jobs will be cut at the Hershey company.
Rendell said he is disappointed in the news, but said it's another reason the state needs to work harder to attract modern manufacturing jobs.
Over the past several weeks, Hershey said it plans to cut as many as 900 jobs in its hometown. More than 600 of the jobs would be eliminated at the chocolate plants. As many as 250 jobs would be cut from the Reese's peanut butter cup plant. |
