| Description | A male Texas legislator has proposed that the state pay pregnant women considering abortion $500 if they agree not to end their pregnancies.
Republican State Sen. Dan Patrick, who also is a conservative radio talk show host, said on Friday the money might convince pregnant women considering an abortion to have babies, then give them up for adoption. |
