DescriptionToday the Republican Party of Louisiana passed presidential delegate selection rules that give the State Party Chairman the ability to call Congressional Caucuses as early as January 1, 2008.

Chairman Villere has not yet indicated whether he will schedule the caucuses prior to February 5th, the date on which nearly half of the nation's delegates will be elected in what is becoming known as a "National Primary".
