Description | BOSTON - Gov. Deval Patrick received more than $12,500 in campaign contributions last year from employees of two firms working on the development of a mammoth Cambridge project that would benefit from a bill recently filed by the governor.
Among the 17 lawyers and senior staff at law firm DLA Piper who contributed to the Democrat’s gubernatorial campaign was Greg Bialecki, who donated $1,000 and was later named a top aide to Patrick involved in real estate permitting.
Another donor was Daniel O’Connell, who now serves as Patrick’s secretary of housing and development.
