Description | WASHINGTON--Rep. Michele Bachmann beamed at the State of the Union address Tuesday evening as if she had just been kissed for the very first time.
Actually, it was the second time.
After getting President George Bush's autograph, she clutched onto his shoulder and reeled him in on national television for a wet one on the cheek. "He kissed me in Minnesota, too," she said.
She claimed her seat close to the aisle early in the day, as did others who wanted face time with the president.
Bachmann's moment with Bush had bloggers rolling.
A New York Times political blogger wrote that Bachmann "maintained a death grip on the president's shoulder, even while he turned away to talk to others, until he posed for a picture with her." |
