Description | OTTAWA - Liberal leadership candidates Gerard Kennedy and Stephane Dion have held talks that could lead to an alliance that vaults one of them to first place on the final ballot at the convention next week.
But Kennedy said Wednesday that no tactical plan has been hatched. And Dion shrugged it off, saying: "Liberals talk to Liberals."
Kennedy, a former Ontario education minister, and Dion, a Montreal MP and former federal cabinet minister, are expected to place third and fourth, respectively, on the first-ballot vote next Friday evening at the leadership convention. |
