Description | OROMOCTO, N.B.— Former premier Bernard Lord has told party faithful he will decide by Christmas whether he’ll continue as leader of New Brunswick’s Conservative party.
Lord addressed a closed-door meeting of the provincial party council Saturday in Oromocto, N.B., and said he needs more time to consider his options.
"The caucus has given me the time I need to examine my options, and I want to take the time because there’s no rush," Lord said as he left the meeting.
"There’s no election coming any time soon. We’re four years away from a campaign and we won’t be into the house until three months from now. It’s not as if there’s a big urgency for any rush decision." |
