Description | WASHINGTON - Democratic Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar said Thursday she had raised $700,000 in the latest reporting period, and had $1.24 million in the bank as of Oct. 18.
Klobuchar is facing U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy, R-Minn., in the Minnesota Senate race. Kennedy did not make his most recent campaign figures available Thursday.
The reporting period covers financial activity from Oct. 1 through Oct. 18.
Overall, Klobuchar has raised $8.62 million, according to her campaign.
In the state's 6th Congressional District, Democrat Patty Wetterling out-raised Republican Michele Bachmann, $515,000 to $333,000 in the latest reporting period, and had a cash on hand advantage of $783,000 to $563,000.
In the First Congressional District, Democratic challenger Tim Walz out-raised Republican Rep. Gil Gutknecht, $110,000 to $88,000 in the period, but still trailed in cash on hand, $305,000 to $179,000.
In the 5th Congressional District, Democrat Keith Ellison out-raised Republican Alan Fine, $106,000 to $14,000. The two candidates finished nearly tied in cash on hand, $82,000 for Fine and $79,000 for Ellison.
And in the 2nd Congressional District, Republican Rep. John Kline out-raised Democrat Coleen Rowley, $68,000 to $51,000, and had a cash on hand advantage of $744,000 to $100,000. |
