Description | (CBS/AP) A small aircraft has hit an apartment building in New York, police said.
The building is described as a high-rise on Manhattan's upper east side, on 71st and York avenue. There was no immediate word on any deaths or injuries.
Video from the scene shows the building engulfed in flames.
CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reports the FAA is only confirming that a "small plane" has crashed into a 22-story apartment building on East 72nd Street. They have not confirmed reports that it was a helicopter. |
