| Description | Little Rock - Former U.S. Senator David Pryor remains hospitalized after suffering chest pain Monday night. He is listed in stable condition and will undergo extensive open heart surgery Wednesday at UAMS, according to the office of his son, Senator Mark Pryor.
"My father's doctors are prescribing the necessary treatment for a full recovery. It is a comfort to know that he is under the care of some of the best doctors in the nation at UAMS," Pryor said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon.
"On behalf of my mother, Barbara, and brothers, David and Scott and our families, we ask for your continued prayer, support and friendship," said Pryor.
Senator David Pryor suffered a heart attack in 1991, after which, his family says he has remained physically fit, watching his diet and exercise. |
