Description | LAKELAND -- Insurance will continue to be the biggest issue in Florida politics for years to come, Florida Senate President Tom Lee says, adding that the state must reduce its liability for billions of dollars that would have to be paid in the event of another catastrophic hurricane.
He is running for the state's chief financial officer against Alex Sink, the Democratic candidate. The office is a combination of two formerly separate Florida Cabinet seats: comptroller and the office of treasurer and insurance commissioner. |
