| Description | State Sen. Tom McClintock wants to win an office that he once proposed eliminating.
McClintock, a Thousand Oaks Republican who has long been a stalwart of fiscal conservatism, told the Bee Capitol Bureau Friday morning that he is running for lieutenant governor as a platform to drive public policy.
It would also be a platform, McClintock conceded, for running for governor in 2010. |
