Description | Attorneys indicated Monday that state Sen. Kathryn Bowers may be nearing a guilty plea to bribery charges stemming from the FBI's Tennessee Waltz sting operation.
In a status report on the case, federal prosecutor Tim DiScenza told U.S. Dist. Court Judge J. Daniel Breen that there is no longer a need for a trial date.
Bowers' attorney William Massey concurred and asked for a final report date, which is now set for Sept. 5. |
