Description | U.S. Rep. Ron Kind should “pay the political price” for his stance on the war in Iraq, his Democratic primary challenger, Chip DeNure, said Monday.
DeNure repeatedly blasted Kind on the Iraq war issue, claiming the incumbent and Republican President Bush were “on the same page,” during a forum at the La Crosse County Democratic Party meeting at the Ho-Chunk Nation Three Rivers House.
It was the first time the two have appeared together as they vie to be the Democrat for the 3rd Congressional District on the November ballot.
Kind said he supported the Iraq resolution because he didn’t think Iraq leader Saddam Hussein would allow weapons inspections without “credible force.” |
