DescriptionMinnesota Green Candidate for Governor to Speak about Local Issues at County Fair

Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 25, 2006 - Green Party candidate for Governor Ken Pentel will be in the City of Little Falls on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 to attend the Morrison County Fair. Ken Pentel is keynote speaker at 7 p.m. for the 6th Annual Windy River Fair, which runs concurrently with the Morrison County Fair. The Fair is a project of the Sustainable Farming Association of Central Minnesota and focuses on sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.

Ken Pentel will speak on how sustainable agriculture and renewal energy support the local economy, by recycling money locally. Keeping money in the local economy leads to a more honest democracy. Local agriculture and local energy help keep farm families on the land. He will focus on how sustainable agriculture and energy efficiency can improve lives in Morrison County, since they lend themselves to living more simply on and with the land. His talk is called “How To Reduce Stress and Tension and Create More Time in Your Life Through Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Efficiency.” Sponsors include the Minnesota Departments of Agriculture and Commerce, Minnesota Power Crow Wing Power.
