DescriptionRepublican Senate candidate Pete Ricketts said on Thursday that he thinks taxes are the No. 1 concern facing voters.

"I believe taxes are a bigger issue than the war in Iraq. While Nebraskans are very concerned with the war in Iraq, by and large you find a lot of support for the war. What you see is people are concerned about their property valuations, they're concerned about income tax, they're concerned about the capital gains and dividends taxes, they're concerned about the death tax. That's what I hear when I'm on the road," Ricketts said.
